Hayden Pedigo at The Gaslight Baker Theater

Performance artist, politician, model and Mexican Summer recording artist Hayden Pedigo will be gracing the Gaslight Baker Stage in Lockhart, TX on 3/29/24. 

Pedigo is an acoustic guitarist and soundscape composer from Amarillo, Texas. Hayden spent his teen years woodshedding the American primitive guitar picking styles of John Fahey combined with experimental sound manipulation and by his early 20s he had already collaborated with luminaries such as Charles Hayward of This Heat, Fred Frith, Werner Diermaier of Faust and Terry Allen.

Homeschooled by his truck-stop preacher father in the Texas Panhandle, he's spent the past few years walking Gucci runways along Hollywood Boulevard and collaborating with veteran avant-garde luminaries who were once members of This Heat, Faust, and Henry Cow. Most notably, he ran for Amarillo City Council in 2019, as depicted in Jasmine Stodel's PBS-optioned documentary Kid Candidate two years later. It's no small feat that he's somehow managed to juggle it all before reaching the age of 30.

Pedigo is currenlty touring in Europe and will be back stateside in March opening for the incomprable Jenny Lewis. 

His talent is irrepresable as it is undeniable. We are so lucky to have him in here in Lockhart. This will be quite the evening to remember.
